Viktig verklighet på Grönland/True realism back in Greenland

(Swedish version first, followed by the English)

Gott tecken.

English version:

Right at the moment when it felt like life was settling down a bit, we got a note from the local hospital we need to go to Asiaat to visit a visiting eye doctor with Eva, Good of course, but causes worries, what if things are not good? Well, that would mean us returning forever to Scandinavia. Eva cannot, unfortunately, live in an isolated place like ours. Even though it is one of the most fantastic on earth.

It has been really heart warming and wonderful returning ”home”. I have realizd that during the time in Copenhagen I have worked up a profound need for all greenlandic things. Like the nature, the fresh air, the people and as much, the stark realism which is such a part of life here.

At times the thought crosses my mind that life has treated me a bit harsh, but as quick as I return back here, one gets perspective of what is a hard life or not.And this stark and hard reality, it makes people even more fantastic as human beings. I have noticed the warmth, kindness and concern among people here since we returned. People are really way more accessible now as well, compared to before. The warmth I have come across since returning, is heart warming.

The snow is disappearing. For good and bad. I just got a tiny bit of the great polar winter and on skis outdoors. I was a week late no more. Right now I am just waiting for the snow and ice to disappear enough to start fishing again. I can see a small iceberg have made its way into the bay. A good sign.
