“Will we make it tomorrow or die?”, I ask myself, sitting next to Jeff in his Landrover namned The Princess.
We are heading from Paris to Dover.
Tomorrow is the day we will attempt to cross the English Channel from Dover to Calais. We have -it seems- a weather window between 10-16.00. The work put in by Neil and his great team at SBS is extraordinary. More than two years. Getting an amphibian Landrover made to perfection. Or very near. Tomorrow we will know.
I am no lover of the sea. I am a lakes, forest and river person. So obviously I have some worries, but we are such a great team, I love every minute.
Will we make it? Tomorrow we will know. An epic crossing or a historic tragedy.
